Introduction

Introduction

Walmart wholesale looks simple from the outside: buy brand-name products, sell them on Walmart. In reality, profit is decided long before the first sale. Which brands will approve you, which products actually sell, who holds the Buy Box, and what is left after WFS fees. This client trusted us with the full process from day one. We have managed the account for more than a year, since it was brand new, and the numbers below come straight from their Walmart Seller Center.

The challenges

How We Work

How we did it

These results were built with 5 to 7 suppliers across multiple categories. As the account proved itself, we added new suppliers and increased purchasing on the products that were selling.

01

Brand and supplier sourcing

We researched authorized distributors and brands, reached out professionally, opened wholesale accounts and collected price lists.

02

Category approvals

We got the account approved in several product categories, so the client could buy from a wider range of brands and was not limited to one niche.

03

Product analysis with WallySmarter

Supplier catalogs were scanned and matched to Walmart listings by UPC / GTIN, with estimated monthly sales for each item.

04

Profit and fee check

For every item we calculated WFS fees, referral fees, profit and ROI before a single unit was bought.

05

Buy Box seller check

We skipped listings where Walmart.com or the brand itself is selling, because those are very hard to win profitably.

06

Clear buy decisions

Each item got a decision: BUY, TEST SMALL, CHECK or SKIP. New products started with small test orders to protect the client's capital.

07

Listings that earn their slot

New accounts have a limited number of listings, so only products with proven numbers were listed.

08

Shipped straight to WFS

Whenever possible, suppliers shipped directly to Walmart fulfillment centers to save on shipping and handling. Our prep center was the backup.

09

Pricing, restocks and scaling

Prices were set and protected by hand to win the Buy Box profitably. Winners were restocked before they ran out, and new brands were added to scale.

What the numbers show

We have managed this account since it was brand new, more than a year ago. From June 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026 it sold $275,297.25, and from April to August 2026 alone it sold $216,498.93. Sales held steady at around $28K to $37K a month from April to July, then jumped to $91,781 in August, 3.3 times June. In mid-July, delays on inbound shipments to WFS meant some best sellers briefly ran out of stock, and sales were close to zero for about ten days. As soon as the shipments were received, sales recovered from July 23. The August growth came from adding new suppliers and increasing purchasing on proven products. Across purchases, the average ROI was 25%. GMV is total sales value before fees and product costs, not profit.

Frequently asked questions

What is Walmart wholesale?

You buy established brand-name products in bulk from authorized distributors or brands, then resell them on Walmart.com. You do not need to create your own brand or products.

You do. You pay the supplier and own the stock. We handle the research, supplier work, analysis, listings, shipping plans, pricing and restock planning.

Every product is checked for sales volume, WFS and referral fees, profit, ROI and who holds the Buy Box. Each item gets a clear BUY, TEST SMALL, CHECK or SKIP decision before you spend money.

When Walmart.com or the brand is selling the same item, winning the Buy Box profitably is very difficult. We focus your money on listings you can actually win.

Walmart Fulfillment Services. You send inventory to Walmart’s fulfillment centers and Walmart picks, packs and ships every order. With WFS, Walmart meets most seller performance metrics for you, except the negative feedback rate.

Whenever the supplier can do it, yes, which saves shipping and handling costs. If a supplier cannot ship to Walmart directly, goods go to our prep center first and we send them on to WFS.

New Walmart accounts usually start with a listing limit. On the new accounts we have worked with, it was 250 listings, and we check the exact limit in your Seller Center. That is why we only list products with proven numbers.

Not at the start. We set and protect prices by hand while the catalog is small. Once you have many more products, Walmart’s Repricer can be added with safe price floors.

Some categories on Walmart need extra approval before you can sell in them. For this client we got approved in several categories, which opened up more brands to buy from. We check which categories your products need and handle the approval process with you.

ROI is the profit you make compared with the money you spend on inventory. A 25% ROI means that for every $100 spent on stock, about $25 came back as profit after product cost and Walmart fees, averaged across this client’s purchases.

No. GMV is the total value of sales before fees and product costs. Profit depends on your buy prices and fees, which is why we calculate profit and ROI for every product before buying.

New sellers have a New Seller Payment Hold after they start selling, so plan your cash flow for the first payouts.

Walmart fulfillment centers get busy. Inventory arriving between October 1 and December 31 can take up to 10 business days to process, so we plan Q4 shipments early.

No honest agency can guarantee sales. What we guarantee is a careful, data-backed process, full transparency on every buy decision and regular updates.
