Introduction

Introduction

Online arbitrage is one of the fastest ways to start selling on Walmart. You do not need your own brand or wholesale accounts, just the skill to find products that sell for more on Walmart than they cost in other online stores. The hard part is knowing which ones are actually profitable after every fee. This client started with a Walmart account that had no sales at all, and the numbers below come straight from their Seller Center.

How We Work

How we did it

Scan online stores

Check Walmart demand

Calculate profit

Buy and ship to WFS

Price, restock, repeat

01

Set up the account for OA

The store started from scratch. We set up Seller Center, WFS and shipping settings so products could go live as soon as the first inventory arrived.

02

Scanned online retail stores

We searched online retailers daily for brand-name products selling for less than their price on Walmart.com.

03

Checked real demand on Walmart

For every product we used WallySmarter sales estimates together with real Walmart.com listing data, checking how often it sells, how many sellers compete, the current price and who holds the Buy Box.

04

Calculated profit after all costs

Buy price, tax, shipping, prep, WFS fees and referral fees were all counted, so only products with real profit were bought.

05

Avoided risky brands and products

We skipped brands known for complaints against resellers, restricted items and anything we could not buy from a reputable retailer with a clear receipt.

06

Bought, prepped and shipped to WFS

Products were ordered, labeled and prepared, then shipped into Walmart's fulfillment centers so Walmart handles every customer order.

07

Priced to win the Buy Box

Prices were set and adjusted by hand to stay competitive while protecting profit.

08

Restocked winners and kept sourcing

Products that sold well were bought again, and new products were added every week to grow the catalog.

What the numbers show

The account had no sales until early July 2026. In its first two months it made $10,229.59 from 326 orders. In the next two months (August 1 to October 2) it made $18,725.04 from 771 orders, 2.4 times as many orders, as more products were added. The best single day was August 27, with more than $1,000 in sales, and in the last week of September several days passed $700. Both periods include August, so they are shown side by side rather than added together. GMV is total sales value before product cost and fees, not profit.

Frequently asked questions

What is Walmart online arbitrage (OA)?

Buying brand-name products from online retail stores at a lower price, then reselling them on Walmart.com for a profit. You do not need your own brand or a wholesale account to start.

OA buys from retail stores in smaller quantities, so it needs less capital and you can start faster. Wholesale buys in bulk directly from brands and distributors, which is better for scaling. Many sellers start with OA, then add wholesale.

Yes. This case study started from scratch. You still need an approved Walmart seller account first, and we can help you get approved.

Less than wholesale, because you buy in small quantities and test products before buying more. We plan purchases around the budget you are comfortable with.

Walmart can ask sellers to prove a product is authentic. That is why we only buy from reputable retailers, keep every receipt, and avoid brands and products known to cause complaints.

You do. You pay for the products and own the inventory. We find the products, check the numbers, and handle prep, WFS shipments, pricing and restocks.

We use WallySmarter, a research tool built for Walmart sellers, for sales estimates, and we check the real listing data on Walmart.com for every product: price, number of sellers and who holds the Buy Box. Using both together gives a much more reliable picture than one tool alone.

Every product must show steady sales on Walmart, a Buy Box we can compete for and real profit after all fees and costs. If the numbers do not work, we skip it.

With WFS, Walmart stores your products and ships every order fast. Walmart also meets most seller performance metrics for you, except the negative feedback rate.

No. GMV is the total value of sales before product cost and fees. We calculate the profit on every product before buying it.

No honest agency can guarantee sales. We guarantee careful product research, clear numbers before every purchase and regular updates.
